Fire departments require various combinations of these courses prior to making application for employment in the Kansas City Metropolitan area. They are not required for an AAS in Fire Science but are highly recommended. The AAS degree in Fire Science meets the prerequisite requirement for the Park University Bachelor of Public Administration - Fire Services Management. Life experience learning credit is available, for a maximum of 15 credit hours. Credits awarded in this manner are subject to current tuition and fees
